Ravenclaw and Stripey

I saw a necklace on Etsy, that was made with an R charm and a hammered ring. It also held beads the house colors of Ravenclaw. I liked the design so much, I wanted to make my own variation.

This variation, is made with a 13mm hammered ring, a sterling silver, script R charm, two 4mm sapphire beads,  and one bronze bead.
The chain is 16" long 2mm leather cord, and Silk ribbon, with a lobster clasp.
It's quite lovely, and certainly shows the Ravenclaw spirit!

While outside, I snapped a picture of Stripey, the neighbor's tabby while he was enjoying an evening of relaxation on the trampoline in my front yard.
He was very photogenic as well as helpful when he jumped down from the trampoline to help me take pictures of the necklace. He was continuously reaching up my leg with his front paws, begging for attention.

And this is one of the colors of Gladiolas growing in the front flower bed.
I think that white is clean and pure, without flaws or mistakes. Which is why I love any flower that is white.

(Gluten Free) Cookie Cake Bars

I wanted to make something special for "Feast Day", which occurs every Saturday. So, looking through my Pinterest boards, I stumbled upon Cookies 'n' Cream Cake Batter Bars.
The recipe was rather simple, all it needed was some tweaking to make it gluten free, and my family's preferred taste of sweets, (Extra chocolate). A bag of Bob's Vanilla Cake Mix, a stick of butter in place of the oil, (with some butter extract added) and half white chocolate chips with half mini semi sweet chocolate chips in 1/2 cup measure.  There were roughly 1/2 and 3/4 cups of coarsely crushed Glutino Cookies mixed into the batter, and plenty of sprinkles on top for the look more than the taste. They took 25 minutes to become golden brown on top.
They were excellent! The texture of cake, with the flavor of cookies. Glutino Cookies, and chocolate chip. If I were to make them again, (which is quite possible for the near future) would be to add more chocolate chips.
Ice cream was the perfect finishing touch! Again, sprinkles for effect.
